Who we are

realife Learning is a not-for-profit social enterprise registered in South Africa (realife Learning Africa NPC) and the UK (realife Learning Ltd). This dual structure, and social enterprise model, enables us to work flexibly across contexts, disrupting and developing how justice work happens.

We formed in 2022, regenerating from the realife identity that Jane Burt has worked under since the turn of the century where she spanned learning, evaluation, creativity and justice. Our members are spread across southern Africa, Europe and beyond. Some of us are deeply rooted in our communities, others are nomadic.

At our centre is an intentional community of founding partners who develop and maintain the organisation. Around this sits a wide network of associates and partner organisations, bringing together diverse skills, knowledge and experience across justice work.
